Have you ever seen KOKORODUKE BUKURO, exquisite gratuity envelopes to offer money in all occasions ?

People might not be aware of this “warm-hearted money present culture” in Japan.
The way to give money in Japan is much different from Western culture. In Japan, people offer money or gratuities in KOKORODUKE envelopes.
However, people are gradually forgetting to convey the custom in this traditional and smart way.
Maia Maniglier wondered : if there were modern and designed envelopes, people might bring their own warm-hearted culture back.

MAIA-GONOMI has put French spirit and Japanese bolder and modern style in our lives together with Parisian Maïa Maniglier. The first samples of “gratuity envelope in Japanese style” are on sale at MITSUKOSHI in Nihonbashi /5F Living Stage. ( same floor as Ukiyoe Renaissance by Tatsuya OKA exhibition / Wenesday 3 to Tuesday 9 June 2009)
